THE FIRST TRAILER FOR THE FILM MY FAVORITE CAKE DIRECTED BY MARYAM MOGHADAM AND BEHTASH SANAEIHA WAS RELEASED
This film was one of the most important films of the 2024 Berlin Film Festival. “My Favorite Cake” only won a few minor awards at the Berlin Festival but received the best reviews of the festival
The story is very sweet and emotional about an Iranian woman living in Tehran. 70-year-old Mahin has always been isolated but decides to revive her love life. A chance encounter turns into an unforgettable night for her. Lili Farhadpour plays Mahin exceptionally; a woman who has lived alone in Tehran since her husband’s death and whose daughter has gone to Europe. In a chance meeting, she meets a lonely taxi driver named Esmail (played by Esmail Mehrabi). This is the short story of their time together. This film deserves much more praise, especially the unforgettable performances of these two lovely Iranian actors, which are worth watching
The film “My Favorite Cake” is scheduled to be released in UK cinemas on September 13th
