Jaleh Olov, born in 1927 in Tehran, a poet, radio announcer, voice actress, and theater, cinema, and television actress, passed away at the age of 97 this afternoon, January 23, 2025. She was a veteran of acting and announcing. She was also one of the honorees of the 8th Eternal Figures Conference in 2010
Shahrokh Razmjou, Jaleh Olov’s son, confirmed the actress’s death and said: Jaleh Olov passed away today, January 23, around noon at Shahram Hospital
Olov’s first artistic activities began in 1948 with live radio announcing and program announcements. She then went on to perform radio dramas and was one of the founders of the “Night Story” program
Jaleh Olov has appeared in various films, including “The Day of the Incident”, “Fairy”, “Mom’s Guest”, as well as series such as “Amir Kabir”, “Sheikh Baha’i”, “The Wolves”, and others. The series “Once Upon a Time” and her role as Aunt Leila are among the outstanding works of this late actress. Her appearance in “Mokhtarnameh” was Olov’s last appearance on television
This actress also had professional activities in the field of theater and dubbing and voiced memorable roles. She managed the dubbing of series such as “Postman Pat” and “Oshin” (Years Away from Home)
