HOOSHANG HARIRCHIAN VETERAN FILM ACTOR PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 92 IN ISFAHAN

Early Tuesday morning, just nine days after Hooshang Harirchian blew out the candles on his 92nd birthday cake, the news of his passing saddened cinema enthusiasts

Hooshang Harirchian, a veteran Iranian artist, began his artistic career in December 1947 at the Isfahan Theater. He joined the Sepahan Theater in September 1953 and officially started working at Isfahan Radio in 1959 as an actor, announcer, producer, reporter, director, and host of entertainment and artistic programs

In 1969, Hooshang Harirchian had his first television experience in a show called “Akas Bashi” and began his cinematic career by playing in the film “Jafar Khan Returns from Abroad” directed by Ali Hatami

This veteran actor, who has about six decades of artistic activity in his career, has played roles in films such as “Jafar Khan Returns from Abroad,” “The Wind Carpet,” “A Kiss as Small as the World,” “The Rules of the Game,” and “Two Sisters

He also starred in memorable series such as “Hasht Behesht,” “Tofang Sarpar,” “Ashpazbashi,” “Sakhteman Pezeshkan,” and  Pezhman
