The statement reads: With a sorrowful and painful heart and faltering words, we announce with great regret that the esteemed and unparalleled artist of Iranian cinema, theater, and television, dear Atila Pesiani, passed away after a long and difficult period of illness, away from his homeland, and joined eternal peace

Atila Pesiani was born on May 10, 1957, in Tehran. He graduated with a degree in acting and theater directing from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran. He was the son of Jamileh Sheikhi and the husband of Fatemeh Naghavi, both cinema, television, and theater actors
His mother, the late Jamileh Sheikhi, was a cinema and television actress. He has two children, a son and a daughter; his daughter Setareh is also an actress
Atila Pesiani began his acting career in theater in 1977 and made his on-screen debut in 1978 with the short film “Silence and Greetings,” directed by Shahrokh Ghiasi. He also started his film acting career in 1981 with “Afrit,” directed by Farshid Falak-Nāzi
