THE NOMINEES FOR THE 2024 EMMY AWARDS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

The Emmy Awards ceremony was held for the second time this year. Eugene Levy and his son Dan Levy, the stars of the Emmy-winning series ‘Schitt’s Creek’, hosted the 76th Emmy Awards

After the 2023 Emmy Awards were held in January 2024 due to the Hollywood strikes, now, eight months later, the big TV stars gathered again at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles for the Emmy Awards

Just like eight months ago, Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, the stars of ‘The Bear’, won the awards for Best Lead Actor and Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, and Lisa Colon-Zayas also won her first Emmy for Best Supporting Actress. Jean Smart, the star of ‘Hacks’, won the award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, and the biggest surprise of this year was that ‘Hacks’ beat ‘The Bear’ for Best Comedy Series

Many stars attended this year’s ceremony, and some of these stars were honored. The cast of ‘The West Wing’, including Martin Sheen, Dulé Hill, Janel Moloney, Richard Schiff, and Allison Janney, appeared on stage to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show’s airing. Also, the stars of ‘Saturday Night Live’, including Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Seth Meyers, and Bowen Yang, appeared on stage to celebrate the 50th season of the show and joked with Lorne Michaels (creator of ‘Saturday Night Live’) about losing 85 Emmys. ‘Happy Days’ also celebrated its 50th anniversary, and Henry Winkler and Ron Howard appeared on stage

Shogun with 18 awards in various categories and “The Bear” with 11 awards were the undisputed winners of the 76th Emmy Awards
